PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CHEMISTIK PU 25 (High Performance Polyurethane Sealant) is a one component polyurethane elastomeric joint sealant. It is self levelling high elongation and lasting seal for all kinds of joints in concrete and a variety of other type of structures.

APPLICATIONS

CHEMISTIK PU 25 (High Performance Polyurethane Sealant) recommended for Sealing of a variety of building materials such as concrete wood, metal, PVC, Ceramics, carbon fibre, glass, etc. bonding and sealing of gaps /joints of concrete roads, highways, airport runaways, taxiways aprons, sealing of leakages in industries like oil /chemical plants, factory floors joints, underground basements, parking ramps. Good adhesive for fixing roof tiles, ceramic tiles, etc.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

The surface must be duly cured firm clean and dry free from grease, oils, dust, asphalt tar, wax, etc. For metals a rub down of surface and degreasing may be required. Inject the sealant into joint /gap with gun or pneumatic gun as per site requirement. It is necessary to tool the joint lubricating with soap water. The joint to be finished about 2 mm lower than the surface. To allow the sealant to expand with atmospheric reaction allow to cure for minimum 24 hours. Do not work in temperature below + 5°C and above 35°C and humidity above 55% RH. For deeper joints two or more operations would be required to ensure no entrapment of air bubbles when tooling the joint. Any masking tape used should be removed before final cure of sealant.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not mix any solvents etc. in sealant. Substrate cannot be wet /damp. Do not work when rain or humidity is high or when rain seems imminent. Wear protection gear like gloves, goggles, etc. avoid direct contact with skin eyes. Do not smoke in area.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Tools can be cleaned with CHEMISTIK EP THIN 200 immediately after use once sealant cures it can only be scraped off.

STORAGE

Store in cool dry place away from heat, direct sunlight, naked flames and high humidity.
