PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CHEMISTIK DAMPROOFER is a single component thick water based acrylic coating. Its improved formula has modified acrylic ester copolymerized polymer emulsion selected fillers and pigment. This high build coating is ideal to prevent dampness from concrete substrates an excellent waterproof barrier for interior applications and non-exposed surfaces. Much more superior to conventional cement based systems.

APPLICATIONS

As a waterproof membrane on all types of interior concrete surfaces like Bathrooms, Kitchens, Wet Areas, Balconies, Floor Slabs, Podiums, Planters etc.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Mix material in container thoroughly before use. On prepared surface to apply first coat of CHEMISTIK DAMPROOFER HB. Allow to dry for 6 – 8 hrs. Apply second and subsequent coats at 6 – 8 hrs intervals at right angle to the first. If using any reinforcement fabric to ensure it is well laid on first coat while it is wet and then followed by second coat. Reinforcement must be sandwiched between two coats. To apply on all internal external corners, openings, protusions of drain pipes, floor drains or embedded plumbings. Treated surface must be allowed to dry for minimum 72 hours. There after proceed to provide protection screed.

STORAGE

Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life 12 months in original containers.

Do not apply on fresh concrete, only after 28 days of curing. Do not dilute the materials as its quality and performance will be affected. Wear protective gear. Do not apply on wet surface. Do not commence application when rain seems imminent.

PREPARATION

Wire brush clean the surface from loose dirt, dust, oils, mortar droppings etc. Wash and rinse with clean water. Necessary repairs to defect must be carried out prior to coating, honey combs, hollow surfaces to be repaired with CHEMISTIK MC – 500 (Micro Concrete). Any cracks, joints to be filled in with CHEMISTIK CONJOINT – 50 Polymeric Sealant. Surface to be treated must be properly prepared, sound clean, dry fully cured and ready. New concrete to be cured thoroughly for 28 days.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean hands, tools etc. with water immediately after use. Always recommended to use protective gloves etc.
